eng: our very first song! I remember when I met Shere in november 2006, she mentioned that she had a band that was influenced by Sleater-Kinney and Yeah Yeah Yeahs with a drummer girl. I though it was very interesting, and even more when I found out about the name, Elaine. I didn’t see Shere again for a couple of months and she mentioned the whole thing again so I told her I wanted to listen to it, I was pretty curious. I think we played for the very first time in March or April 2007 and she let me listen to the song. At first it was very different, a whole step down and few variations on the structure. It didn’t sound like the references she gave, it was heavier and with a funny potential. The first time the three of us practiced as a band we started to play it with the things that I’d already done, and discovered that Lya had an amazing skill to create from suggestions; the song worked easily for us. I always felt this song had a structure similar to Slowdown Virginia’s songs, explosive! Shere wrote funny but short lyrics that worked perfectly for our first blast. When we recorded the song, I felt I couldn’t leave it with all that evil it had from our lives shows, so I recorded a second guitar almost lying down above the amp with tons of distortion, and then another guitar but this time very detuned for noise and even tearing the strings down. When I was pulling the D string, it cut my middle finger so it was a bloody and noisy picture. It’s one of the fastest songs on the album, more than 200bpm, yet I still feel it’s not fast enough.

lyrics

Puta mierda policía
Puta la madre que te parió
Putos todos en la cola
Puto el puto del camión

Puto el suelo que caminas
Puto el día del amor
Puta regla, puto alcohol
Putos todos, puta yo...
